Simion Bogdan-Mihai is a vocal soloist, cobzar, folklore enthusiast and occasional writer. He collected music from hundreds of old fiddlers, wandered through villages forgotten by the world and learned authentic peasant music in the very place where Romanians, Gypsies, Jews or Armenians gave birth to it. Bogdan Mihai Simion is one of the last cobzari from Romania.
